In just a few weeks a brand new event is coming to The Music Hall! They’re taking the fun outdoors for the first annual “Concert in the Lot“!

Brittany and Monte of The Music Hall share the 411 with us below…

What is the “Concert in the Lot”??

Concert in the Lot is a New Orleans-themed event in partnership with the City of Portsmouth to help demonstrate the potential of the Worth Parking Lot downtown. Tremendous musical powers, combined with delicious food, beverages, and community, will surely create an event to remember!

When will it take place?

Sunday, June 16th, from 4-8pm. The event opens at 3pm, with the first band on stage at 4:00 pm!

Who can attend?

Everyone!!! It’s a great event for Father’s Day, so bring Dad and the whole family!

What kind of music will we hear? Any local acts?

The music will be New Orleans-themed, and will feature two bands straight from New Orleans: Sweet Crude and Grammy award-winning headliners—the Rebirth Brass Band! The event openers, Jumbo Circus Peanuts, are local favorites that bring a lot of fun and spunk!

A little birdie told us there will be some local food and bevs as well? Any insider details you can share?

Yes! There will be New Orleans-inspired menus from local food trucks and vendors, including Ore Nell’s, TACOCAT, Wrap Shack, La Maison Navarre, and Jolie Rogers Traveling Raw Bar—think barbecue, tacos, wraps, soups, beignets, and oysters shucked to order! A designated area will sell beer and wine supplied by Cisco Brewers and Vinilandia NH Wine Distributors.

What is the goal behind this event?

In addition to experiencing a fabulous time in the sunshine, this event is in partnership with the City of Portsmouth to help demonstrate the potential of the Worth Parking Lot, as the city plans to turn the area into green space.

Thank you Brittany and Monte!
