The boys are back and better than ever!

You know those moments when you leave a performance, and you’re kind of….speechless? Like, when you think to yourself, “These singers, dancers, and actors are so good; are they really real??”. That’s exactly how we felt last fall and last week again when we experienced Jersey Boys at the Ogunquit Playhouse—completely mesmerized and in awe of the talent that graced the historic stage in front of us. So when a performance is THAT good, and when the crowd spontaneously rises for a standing ovation not once, not twice, but three times during the show, you know it’s an opportunity not to be missed!

Last Friday night, Jersey Boys opened the season at the Ogunquit Playhouse, and we were just delighted with the inspiring voices that brought the sounds of the sixties to life right before our eyes. With two returning cast members, classic songs that are just begging you to sing along to, and plenty of toe-tapping, Jersey Boys was a performance to remember!

Some of you may be thinking, ‘I saw Jersey Boys before—perhaps even last year at the Playhouse—why would I go again?’. No matter where you see the musical, and no matter which performance you attend, no two shows are ever the same. With a few notable changes from last fall’s performance at the Ogunquit Playhouse, the show still carries all of the fabulous range of songs many of us know and love. For those of you who haven’t yet been dazzled by this marvelous musical, the plot shares the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons—a musical group that rose to stardom in the 1960’s.

Plus, any opportunity to enjoy a beautiful evening at The Ogunquit Playhouse is a treat in itself…wouldn’t you say??
