Nowadays Flowers is a cut flower farm and floral design studio based in Dover, on a mission to bring joy and beauty to the community through local flowers. When they’re not working in the field, the Nowadays team can be found popping up around town with Clover the vintage flower truck, flowering weddings and events across New England, or teaching educational workshops. Their new therapeutic horticulture program called Flourish is designed to provide a nurturing environment for people to connect deeper with themselves and others, and support mental health and emotional wellbeing through flowers. From seed starting to gardening to flower arranging, research shows that working with nature can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, while fostering a sense of accomplishment and connection.

ILLUME FLORAL
Illume Floral Studio is located in Newmarket, NH where we design custom florals for weddings and events all across New England. Each composition is thoughtfully planned and designed with a mixture of elements creating a modern, romantic, whimsical style with a creative twist. Our designs are inspired by nature using organic lines and shape, and incorporating movement and fluidity through light and airy textural details. During the warmer months we collaborate with local flower farms as much as possible to provide select, premium, seasonal blooms. We offer full service wedding florals as well as à la carte options. McDermott Landscape Design is a boutique landscape design business with a focus on residential properties. Scott McDermott, along with his wife and partner, Jessica Engle, offer a highly personalized design and project management service with a hands-on approach. They take great pride in their work, and view each of their projects as a long-term commitment. Over the last eight years, they have developed strong relationships with talented individuals along the Seacoast ranging from carpenters and gardeners, to fence installers and stone masons. The McDermott Landscape Design team is unique in the sense that they are very hands on – the company’s philosophy has and always will be that they must not lose touch with the gardens and the soil. Through the use of primarily natural materials and flowering perennials, the McDermott team accomplishes their clients’ needs by creating transformative outdoor living spaces.

BAYBERRY & COMPANY
Much of what Bayberry & Company’s fine gardeners do is the highly detailed management of a property as it matures. To do it well, timing is everything. In spring, they prepare and clean up gardens and prepare for planting. This usually includes installation of annual programs that might include planting containers in spring and summer and dividing perennials as the garden matures to promote plant health and vigor.
In summer, our gardeners spend much of their time deadheading, pruning and weeding. They also perform holiday decorating with fine greens, foliage, berry laden twigs and colorful accent branches combined with festive, tasteful ribbons. For the winter months the team of gardeners might introduce Red Twig Dogwoods or ornamental grasses to provide visual interest.
