Handcrafted ice cream at it’s finest! Welcome to Rococo—a Maine based ice cream business that serves creative, unique flavors—made with the freshest ingredients. We’re talking Rhubarb Sage, Sweet Avocado Cayenne, and the ever popular Goat Cheese Blackberry Chambord, to name a few. If wildly inventive flavors aren’t your Ginger Sour Cherry “Jam” (another fabulous flavor), Rococo offers some tasty classic flavors like Maine Whoopie Pie (our favorite!), Honey Vanilla, and Salty Sweet Cream. Rococo Ice Cream was founded in Kennebunkport, Maine by 10th generation Maine native Lauren Guptill in 2012. Inspired by her time spent travelling the world, specifically by the vibrant culture she experienced living in Buenos Aires, Lauren returned home to open up her first scoop shop in Kennebunkport, Maine. Since opening, Lauren has expanded her business, and is now offering globally-inspired flavors at Rococo’s Ogunquit, Maine scoop shop, Bob’s Clam Hut in Kittery, Maine, and at Rococo’s Test Kitchen in Wells, Maine! So let’s talk about this Test Kitchen, shall we?? This new-wave ice cream experience is located at Rococo’s headquarters in Wells, Maine, and is open to the public to taste and sample ice cream flights, featuring flavors that haven’t quite made it to the scoop shops yet! When you visit, you’ll be surprised by an exciting rotating list of limited-batch flavors that you can taste test and share your feedback.
