Insider’s Guide to Outdoor Drinking in the Seacoast
Here on the Seacoast, there’s no shortage of cool places to enjoy a beverage outdoors! Whether you enjoy beautiful waterfront views, imbibing aboard a schooner, or keeping things relaxed in a backyard patio on the outskirts of town, there are plenty of opportunities to sit back, relax, and enjoy an ice-cold draft beer, a glass of bubbly, or a creative cocktail outside, from the quaint town of Kennebunk to the bustling decks of Portsmouth!
Martingale Wharf | Portsmouth, NH
Home to the largest outdoor deck in Portsmouth, Martingale Wharf also boasts some of the prettiest views of the Piscataqua River! This downtown Portsmouth establishment is located at the end of what locals call “the decks”—a lively boardwalk of outdoor restaurants and watering holes in downtown Portsmouth that hover above the river. We love that Martingale Wharf extends the outdoor season as long as possible with heat lamps, fire pits, and cozy blankets for chilly fall nights by the water!
