Weekender House is such a happily frequented shopping spot for us that it often feels like this beachy-meets-modern home décor shop has been a part of our community forever. But really—celebrating six years in business this summer, it’s just getting started!

Weekender House first opened its doors to a compact 500 square-foot space in Portsmouth’s West End, and the following year moved to a larger showroom across the street (in the former PMAC building). This past fall, Chad and fellow Seacoast Interior Designer Christina Van Blake, joined together to open a sister shop called HOME in Dover, New Hampshire’s Pointe Place (It’s super cute and you should tOtally go visit!). With a new shared warehouse to welcome furniture deliveries for both shops, the Weekender House family now manages 5,000 square feet of space!

Since Weekender House first opened its doors, Owner and Lead Designer Chad Callihan has beautifully transformed homes from Montauk to LA, and many homes throughout the Seacoast. He desires to help all clients create happy homes on projects big and small (from simple design upgrades such as selecting new window treatments, to transforming single rooms and designing entire homes). He offers a broad price range of products in both shops as well!

Weekender House is a place for every style, every budget (complimentary design services), and every space—from starter homes to beachfront summer residences! Now consisting of a team of nine, including six designers, Weekender House is busy making spaces beautiful in our Seacoast community!

Step foot into Weekender House and you’ll be welcomed by freshly-styled vignettes each time you visit. The showroom is currently designed in a coastal-casual style, but the team designs all types of homes, from suburban farmhouses to contemporary urban apartments. We feel confident you’ll be happy with the lovely team at Weekender House; they put so much time and dedication into their work, and care into their clients’ well-being.

DESIGN TIPS FROM CHAD

*Wide print and broad print wallpapers are back!

*Chad has noticed a shift from blues to greens in coastal palettes recently. #foodforthought

*Rattan and jute furniture (products popular in warm and tropical locations) is trending here in the Northeast (which excites Chad to see influence from his former home in Miami/Fort Lauderdale, to his current home here on the Seacoast)!

Thank you to Chad and the Weekender House and HOME teams for adding so much beauty and style to our community. Cheers to the next six years!
