Many of us are fortunate enough to enjoy a few days off from work this holiday season. Whether we’re hosting friends and family, or simply looking to enjoy some extra fun while home for the holidays, below are some fun activities that are sure to tickle your fancy this holiday season and all winter long!

*Take a skate! Enjoy the picturesque scenery at Puddle Dock Pond in Portsmouth, or opt for a skating sesh at The Waterhouse Center in Kennebunk’s town center. For indoor skating fun, check out The Rinks at Exeter!

*Indulge in a festive holiday beverage! The Gingerbread Latte from White Heron Tea & Coffee, and the “Dirty Nog Latte” from Laney & Lu have peaked our interest this season!

*What are the holidays without plenty of indulgences?? Share a leisurely brunch with people you love! We particularly enjoy BRGR Bar (Sat + Sun), STREET (Sun), STREET’za (Sat + Sun), and The Wilder (Fri, Sat, Sun).

*Play a board game or work on a puzzle at Diversions in downtown Portsmouth!

*As soon as the snow falls, pack up the skis and head north to Harris Farm for some cross country skiing and snowshoeing!

*Why not take part in some good old-fashioned strings of bowling?? We love Bowl-O-Rama, Dover Bowl, and Garden Street Bowl!

*Design your own brewery hop! Visit local craft breweries such as Liars Bench, Loaded Question, Smuttynose, Great Rhythm, Throwback, Stoneface, North Country Hard Cider, and Bad Lab.

*Sit back, relax, and enjoy hot popcorn and a movie at The Music Hall!

*Cozy up and read a book at Book & Bar! Maybe even catch some live music while you’re there! P.S. The eggnog latte is divine.

*If you have kiddos, The Children’s Museum of New Hampshire in Dover is always a happy choice!

*Enjoy some R&R after the holiday rush… Perhaps try barn yoga at Shilo Farm, a float and massage at Flote, or simply relax in a salt cave at Soleil’s!

Happy wintering!!
